Kylie Lip Kit: Candy K, 22, Mary Jo K, Ginger, Exposed, Kristen

Ordered more Kylie Lip Kit!! Weehee..
Not sure if I have commented on the lasting power of the lipkits but here are pictures.

I think I am wearing 22 here. Forgot the shade, I took this pic ages ago.
This is what it looked like after I finished my bakchormee. If you are unfamiliar with liquid lipsticks, they usually will fade away on the center because of your food and depending on how oily your food it and what a messy eater you are, it will run more. I think I am a pretty neat eater. Usually my lipsticks only fade from the center portion of my lips.

Of course, when it gets oily, there will be transfer too. So, here is what the straw transfer look like. Actually when I am only drinking water, there will be a little transfer too, especially when you drink pretty immediately after you applied the lipstick.

Janice ordered Mary Jo K. This is what it looks on me and on Janice.

Mary Jo K. I have since ordered my own MJK. Will be posting more pictures later on.

This is Ginger! So dark! Was expecting a little more orangey shade. What a shame.

Koko K Liner and LimeCrime Bleached and also a little 22 in the center. So many things to apply damnit. Love this look.

Wearing 22 here. Looks dark on me, as usual...

Mixing Ginger and Koko K. Looks like Posie K!

This is a mixture of 22 and Koko K. I think it looks better on me compared to me applying both colour individually. Janice is wearing Ginger. Looks lighter on her than me.

Mixture of 22 and Koko K. Love this shade.

Candy K. Don't like the pictures here. I took it late at night and only had my reading light to help me. The rest of the lightings are yellow. They are super not-true-to-colour. Hate it. I will be posting more pictures later on when I bother to make up and have the sunlight.

Kristen here. It is darker on me again. Was expecting something more orangey pink.

Exposed here. Thing is with all these nude colours, people always think they look horrible on me hahahahaha. Not that I think i look great with them on but I don't think I look horrendous either. I think eye make up and outfit makes a lot of difference.

So far, here are the shades I own..
More to add to the collection - Mary Jo K and Dirty Peach (my absolute favourite!!)

Pros:
Long lasting - still have to re-apply after an oily meal especially in the center of the lips but I would suggest you just use the lip liner to reapply because if you use the liquid lipstick, it will crack and look even more horrible than it already is - the lines get more obvious. You can definitely apply your lip serum/cream before you apply them but remember to wipe them off because no liquid lipstick is going to last if you apply any balmish product before or after it.
Feels less dry compared to other liquid lipsticks I have tried.
Size is huge, it will last longer
Lip liner is buttery smooth, a joy to apply.
Liquid lipstick is not as sticky as other brand. Feels really light and not too much of a layer-y feel.

Cons:
Probably too little if you use it everyday, it won't last very long.
Highlights your lip lines
Lip liner will probably finish very quick
It's a chose to sharpen the lipliner (yes, I'm lazy but I will still do it hahah)
Liquid lipstick smell is too overwhelming

Kylie Lip Kit: Koko K

Soooo finally we got our hands on THE Kylie Lip Kit. There was a major restock and im glad i placed my order.
After much deliberation between this and Candy K, I picked Koko K. As you know, my lips have a magical ability to convert any colour to shit (except orange of course) so I was feeling very cautious not to mention the fact that this set is expensive - if you compare to Lime crime. But then again maybe the price can be justified by saying you get 2 products - the liquid lipstick and the matching liner.

OMG. I don't know what happened but I can swear I did up this post and published it but when I checked it just now, only the first paragraph was done up. Wth... ??

ANYWAY...

So this is the lip liner.. it is much more smoother than I would have imagined. So far I only have the Urban Decay lip liner which is waterproof. And also the whole set of lip liner from 3CE. I don't think they claim it to be waterproof but they are pretty lasting to me.

So the Kylie lip liner is very smooth, buttery, glides nicely. I used it for 2-3 times before I needed to sharpen it.

Liquid lipstick size is bigger than the usual Lime Crime size I am used to. Smell is a little bit overwhelmingly vanilla. I think this will last me forever.

The lip liner is of a lighter shade than the liquid lipstick. I had a feeling that it will match my Bleached and it did!

Picture with the harsh light. Looks not smooth in the picture It does not look smooth in real life either. This picture is closer to the actual look of the lipkit on my lips. It highlights your cracks too but I would say probably less harsh than the LimeCrime ones. The application is smooth. Dries up fast but still enough time you to smooth it out. This colour is too light for me!! Not at all what I expected. You wouldnt believe how many YouTube video reviews I have watched and they all vary. Caucasian skin or lighter skin people really carry this colour much better compared to my yellow asian skin tone. I think it is also because my lips base are a little brownish instead of pale pinkish kind like what fairer people sports. No need to watch Youtube videos.. all the colours you see are very inaccurate, I feel. Somehow the videos have inaccurate lightings.. too bright... too yellow because maybe of the indoor lighting. I have mostly yellow lighting in the house and I HATE IT. I am ok with it when I don't have to write or do my handmade DIY stuff. But when I need to do those and also put on make up... yellow lighting is the absolute dread. OK. Enough ranting..

This is with a kinder lighting so everything looks smoother and better. This is how I would really have preferred it to look on me hahah. You really need to have your lips well moisturised before you apply this. I usually just slab on a thick layer of balm and apply my make up first. My lips will look better once im ready to apply my lipkit. There is also a way to apply it less harsh looking. Apply thin layer of balm on your lips. Then apply a little (i just glaze on the center of my lower lips) and then smooth it out. I usually stick to this method after yoga. Just to give myself a tinge of colour so u wont look too walking-dead. Good thing about this lipkit is that it blends well with the balm im using. Thats the 3CE Ho Balm. I use foreverything - my current go-to lazy multi-purpose product - face, lips, dry skin anywhere. Maybe ill do a review next time.

Comparing it to my Bleached.. PERFECT match!

I have since ordered 22, Ginger, Exposed, Kristen, Candy K........ I know. Hahahah..

If you wanna read the review for Lime Crime Bleached it's here.

3CE Drawing Lip Pen Kit

Yay! Finally another 3 Concept Eyes product I get to own. Saw this online and after many days of mulling over how beautiful these colours are, I decided to just get the whole kit instead of individual colours to try out.

Each of the pencil is sealed with their standard sticker. Same as the ones I see on their lipsticks.
The kit comes with 12 pencils ranging from light pink to dark purple. The last one looks like dark brown but it's more of a dark purple red. The box size is not fitted to the pencil size, when I opened it they are not aligned properly.

Didnt realise that my pictures are not clear here.
Anyway, the colours that come with the kit are:
#Need
#Little More
#Butter Pink
#Willowy
#You Got Me!
#Endear
#Beware
#Mayhap
#Sloe Gin
#Crush On You
#Born Red
#Chilling

This is the transfer after I applied it. It's pretty promising! Just very little transfer. I am loving this already it looks very promising! When I blot on tissue very little amount is transferred also.

First colour I tried is Butter Pink! Looks pretty light but I am very hopeful.

This is what it looks on me. Pretty alright. Not too sickeningly white.

Looks bit orangey in this picture I've filtered. One of the stupid faces I usually send over to Conrad so he won't forget what I look like hahahah. Love how it looks here!

This is after my dinner. Looking sick here hahah. Colour is not totally worn off, still a bit left but it no longer looks as solid as when I firstly applied it. You will need to apply it after you have your meals but you can get away with not reapplying also. Depends on how OCD you really are.

Second colour is Endear.

I think it looks ok! Best things about these lip pencils are, they are so easy to apply, glides on really smoothly, very long lasting, don't break easily, so far out of the so many I have tried, only one tip snapped and that because I applied it perpendicularly down on my lips. Sharpening them will be a chore though but it will last pretty long before you need to sharpen them. Some lip pencils run out pretty fast and I need to sharpen after 2-3 applications, like my Urban Decay waterproof one. Oh yeah, have yet to do a review on that. Haven't tried this lip pencil while swimming but from what I have learnt, there are NO waterproof makeup that are really waterproof. They all run lighter after a dip. My eyebrows will be gone.. My coloured lips will be gone.. My eyeshadow will be gone.. Only a faint hint that there were there to begin with hahah.. Still in my quest to find really a waterproof face.

Next colour I tried! Also pretty good! Am really loving this palette hahah.. It's a pinkish colour.

Yep, another one of those hahaha. Looks better with filter.

Ok, this colour is totally OFF on me. I look sick hahahahah. Oh well.. Still need to find a matching eye makeup for this look. I am never sure of what to match a sick nude lips and a goth lips look.

Much better after I decided to apply You Got Me on the center. Gradation look saved the day. Koreans call it gradation though proper word is gradient? Anyway I keep seeing gradation every time they talk about this ombre look.

Next colour is Willowy. Love this colour! It's like my nude neutral pink. Just applied my Etude brow gel so my brows look like crayon shinchan hahaha..

Next colour is Born Red, Kinda look goth red on me almost like Lime Crime Red Velvet.

Ok finally the only plum berry red shade I will probably ever own. It looks still pretty ok on me but makes me look angry too! Hahahah.. The pencil is in brown, I thought it will be brown initially.

Next up is Beware. Looks kinda nicki minaj pinkish. They are all different but if you ask me to just pick from the lip case to test me which is which colour and what they look applied on me, I will never know. I guess I need to memorise one or two that I can just grab and go for when I travel or in a hurry. This is a great travel item! No need to keep applying especially if you are the type who snacks and drinks a lot like yours truly.

3CE Drawing Lip Pen Kit

Pros
Pretty long lasting.
Glides on smoothly.
Does not highlight lip lines - only a little bit, so much better compared to other matte lip products.
Doesnt look very matte.
Not very drying.
Not sticky when you smack your lips together.
Transfer proof.
Easily removable with micellar lotion.

Cons
Need to sharpen.
If your lips are like me, 1 or 2 colours might look OFF on your lips.

That's all I can think off. This lip kit is so awesome it's my favourite lip product at the moment besides the new 3ce matte lipstick that I got. Still thinking if I should order the other 2 special colours. They look not much different from each other but i can't help it. My itchy finger wants to click "BUY" hahahah..

Seidio Obex Waterproof Case: iPhone 6 Plus

I have been wanting to get a waterproof case for my iPhone 6 Plus especially after our Gili trip was booked. I saw someone posted a picture of a beach holiday and captioned the Lifeproof case.

Issues I think I’ll encounter:
  • Wont be able to use my monopod since there’s only a slight allowance with my current thin silicone case.
  • Even if I can use the monopod, I’m not sure if it’ll destroy the monopod shutter function – I have one of those with the remote cable - for underwater use (won't the water seep in?)
  • Picture quality diminished either because of flash or the screen protector.

Lifeproof Nuud
  • Lightest & thinnest.
  • No screen protector so screen is equally sensitive.
  • No strap – this is my biggest deterrent.
  • Only comes in black.
  • Around USD80 before shipping, this was my last option so I did not check shipping by the time I decided.

Catalyst
  • Problems with the volume or mute button
  • Has wrist strap – YAY!
  • Has long silicone flap at the bottom that covers the earphone jack and lightning port that could possibly pop off when you’re not careful.
  • No pretty colours combi – only dull ones.
  • Around 75$ and with shipping 15$, I think it’s cheaper since they ship from Hongkong if I’m not mistaken. But I’m really not liking the colour combi I have and I think the hard-to-press buttons will probably annoy the hell out of me.

Seidio Obex
  • They were having a sale of 30% under promo code B2S2015 and there are 25$ off most cases and combos (with the clip). You can’t apply the promo code for cases already under the 25$ off promo.  Not sure if this is still valid but you can try it out.
  • Has screen protector – might hamper screen sensitivity
  • Has writs strap – YAY!
  • Has few bright colour combi – YAY!
  • Some review said it failed the drop test but this won’t be of a major concern to me. My main aim is the waterproof feature.

Some of the cases with screen protectors – or the plastic screen coverings (unlike Nuud that has none), will cause some distortion over screen display and also camera picture quality. I have seen some remarks about how the flash or covers even, seem to cut into the picture and some flashes create blue tinge on the pictures. Oh yeah, screen glares and sensitivity problems as well.

Websites that I find very helpful to help me decide which case to get:
scroll towards the bottom of the post for iPhone 6 Plus reviews.

*******************************************************************************
So after much consideration, I got the Seidio Obex under the 25$ off promo so it’s around 65$ plus 30$ shipping it ended up to be around USD100.

I forgot what shipping company they used. So I got the case in the box with the lanyard.

Doing the water test. If you notice, there is huge damp spot on the top right corner. I was so disappointed. Before I took it out, Conrad was taking his nap and after he woke up he said he dreamt that water seeped into the case. WTH... hahahahah.. Anyway, when I took the case apart, there was a small section of the tissue stuck in between the case so I didnt align it properly. Scary to think that maybe if I didn't notice a strand of hair in between the case while shutting it close, my phone will get wet?

This is the picture taken with the case. It is pretty good! No complaints here.

Seidio Obex Waterproof Case
Yellow iPhone 6 Plus

Cons:

  • Super bulky - if you have tiny bags, this wont fit in for sure. We went Bangkok and I was using this small waterproof bag but with the phone case in it, it's very difficult to snap close my bag. Why I don't want to just hang it on my neck? Well.. it is very heavy for me and I don't like the feeling.
  • Cant use my monopod - which I already know.. #bummer.
  • Underwater or even just in and out of the water surface makes it hard to press the home button and screen. I think somehow it fails to detect your fingertips. The sensitivity is decreased tremendously when it is in contact with water. I was having problems trying to start a video or taking pictures. Very difficult to navigate the menu. Most of the time I just gave up.
  • Sound recorded is a little muffled.
  • You will need a coin to prop the case open but it is still pretty to assemble and disassemble. I think with continuous usage it will probably un-waterproof the case. So far I think I have opened and close for around 20 times but it is still ok. Last round I used it for Songkran in Bangkok and it was ok. No problem using it with the constant water splash but not when you are swimming or snorkeling - anything to do with constant water contact then I wouldn't recommend it.

Pros:

  • Well... it is waterproof hahaha. If that is all you are after that this case will serve its purpose.
  • Better colour selection than other brands.

I don't think I will get another waterproof case again, I can't bring it diving anyway. I think it is only good up to 3-5m depth? Maybe the normal cheap plastic double ziplock style bag is good enough. It is light, easy to assemble and probably will fit in the tiny bag I mentioned better - or I can just hang it on my neck since it is less bulky and heavy.
