Laneige Serum Intense Lipstick

Yepp. My switch is now up for new lip colours! Have been very loyal to my Benefit Chacha Tint but I dont know why it just feels too red nowadays. I'm gunning for lighter colours or something more orange vs reddish tint. Though Chacha is orange, I think it turns into a reddish hue on my lips after a while. Hating my natural smoker lips colour and I dont even smoke #damnit.

Amy and I went to this Laneige workshop. And during the demo the makeup artist mentioned that their serum intense lipstick is what Cheon Song Yi used in My Love From The Stars. What! I thought that was the YSL lipstick. Xiu told me that it was on waiting list because or the show. Anyway, the shade CSY used was Neon Orange. I was obsessed with getting that colour. Ordered it online and here it is. Ta daaa..

Laneige Serum Intense Lipstick in YR25 Neon Orange. The tube feels light! Feels like Im holding a miniature version of their time freze serum.

I really need to whiten my hands. Grrr. The shade looks very dark here. Not much natural light today. Weather is perfect! Less sun much wind and Im pretty sure thunderstorm will follow later on.

First application. Used the tube directly. Im still waiting for my lipbrush to arrive. #hurryup! Feels light a brighter version of my chacha tint. Very moisturising. No wonder they call it serum intense. I've tried another pinkish colour at the Laneige counter and surprisingly this range of lipsticks has a considerably strong staying power. We were walking around for an hour after the application and the lipstick colour still looked good! Did not expect that at all. Usual lipsticks do not last that long for me since I have the habit of constantly drinking water from the bottle, smacking & licking my lips.

After blotting. Mattified the look a little. Looks better after I dabbed the lipstick a few more times at the center portions of my lips.

Dabbed a little of my lipbalm at the centre. Its really very moist hence the glossy look so no gloss or balm is required after that.

Laneige was having a 20% sale for birthday month so I got this bright red shade. Have been wanting to get a red colour but I'm still trying to gather my guts to try it out because it's so bold!

No blotting, no gloss, just swipes of Luminous Red. I feel that somehow the red changes to orange after a while on my lips hahaha.. Maybe I'm just somehow a yellow person who converts everything to orange. Does that even make sense hahah. Initially I wanted to get a pink shade but none of them looks good on me and I was in my shopping spree mood so might as well make use of the 20%. Wahoo.

Lunch at Wheeler's Yard

Met up with Xiu to go to one of those out-of-nowhere places again for lunch. I always regret the moment im nearby and have to start looking for the place. But we still always go anyway, why..? Hahah

Wheeler's Yard
28 Lorong Ampas.
Nearest MRT: NONE hahaha
Ok its somewhere between Toa Payoh and Novena.
I took a 20mins bus ride from Scotts which took forever to come. I think my wait was longer than the bus ride. Yes, i might exaggerate but when you are under the midday sun everything seems much longer than it really is.

The place is free seating and you first place order and make payment at the counter. After that they will give you a buzzer and everytime it buzzes you go up to collect your food. No service charge so tipping is encouraged - read that somewhere in the cafe.

We reached the place before noon and it was still empty but lunch crowd started pouring in right after.

Apple cider for me and lemonade for Xiu. The cider disappointed me. Was expecting something sweet but it wasnt. The lemonade was.. lemonade. Hahah. Light and refreshing.

Xiu ordered the big breakfast with extra salmon. Was aiming at this initially but the bacon and sausage really turned me off.

I had the grilled chicken with mushrooms, asparagus and mashed potatoes. So much skin on the chicken and fatty bits. Bleh.

Food was so so. Location is inaccessible. If you have a car, no where is inaccessible nor far, so good for you. It was maybe around 7 mins walk to the nearest bus stop for me. Most probably I wont be going back again.

A MUST shot with the instagram worthy blue door hahaha.

SuanThai Buffet & Nana's Green Tea lattes

Went to this Thai buffet resto.

SuanThai
101 Killiney Road
Singapore 239544
Nearest MRT: Somerset. Exit from back of 313 Somerset, 10mins slow walk from there.

List of all the things in the buffet. We were rather surprised when the bill came. Turned out, they served us the more  comprehensive menu ie. this green page. Turn over and theres a white page with a cheaper option. They look the same to me at a glance. Didnt get a chance to scrutinise further after the bill came. We were informed at the start that the highlighted items will all be served without having to place orders and will only be served once.

Starters while waiting for Kit. Nothing can go wrong with prawn crackers. We had bottomless calamansi juice - soso lang.

Spring rolls, fishcakes and mango salad. Dont really like the salad but its a good change from the other oily stuff.

I think this is the chicken salad. Im not a meat person so this is major turn off because after i zoom in for a look, there are skins all over. #gross. Will taste so much better if i cant taste the skin. Why cant restos use lean meat always.

The stir fried long beans with soya sauce  and beancurd with special sauce at the back. One beancurd each. #whaaa..?? Ok anyway the special sauce tastes like normal thai sweet chili. Hahaha.

Minced chicken with basil leaves and eggplant. Not too bad. Didnt try the eggplant. I dont eat that. Only had a little of this. Kit ordered after we finished the rest of the food.

Highlights of the meal. This dish and other dishes below are part of the highlighted items on the menu. Deep fried whole fish. Not bad. Quite fresh.

Steamed mixed seafood with chili & lime. Only had the prawn and its alright.

Pineapple rice and the green curry. Dont remember trying the green curry. The  pineapple rice is normal.

Tom yam soup with mushroom and prawns. Not bad.

Thai chicken satay, boneless stuffed chicken wing, wrapped chicken in pandan leaf. Satay is not bad and so if the pandan chicken. Stuffed wing is meh.
Thats all we had. #feelinglikeapregnantpig.

Probably wont be going back again. Enough buffet for now.

Since you always have space for dessert, we walked to Plaza Singapura and ended up at:

Nana's Green Tea
Plaza Singapura #03-80/82
Nearest MRT Dhoby Ghaut ofcourse!
Its at the new wing of plaza sing.

Ed had green tea latte. Didnt give any feedback so Im guessing Its normal.

We had azuki and matcha latte with mochi and soft serve. #yumz. The azuki is a little too sweet. Sweet + sweet is not too enticing. Especially when you are already feeling like pregnant pig. The matcha combi is good. Slightly bitter + sweet = good balance. The mochis are too frozen. Kit dropped one ball into Ed's latte and it was thawed alright hahah.

I'm missing Hoshino coffee's matcha latte with matcha softie. #sogonnagotomo.

I've had one of their main meals here before and its not too bad. Average i'd say. Will go back for the matcha.
