So, I went over to visit Angela right before Christmas and she gave me this RiRe Lip Manicure in 07 Chiffon Coral. This reminds me of the Clio Lipnicure that I got some time back. Click here for that review. Have never heard of this brand till Ang gave it to me. Another one of those Korean road shop brands I guess. Will look out for it the next time I go. 

Got those lip swatches randomly online. Didn't realise they have so many colours! Super loving the Wine Burgundy. Reminds me of LimeCrime Velvetines in Wicked which is supposedly always sold out. I don't think I can pull that colour off though since I'm too yellow toned. Anyway, Jan ordered LimeCrime for us last night so can't wait till that arrives and hopefully before CNY. #superexcitednaman!

Bottle is super cute! Tiny - very portable. Has a typical lip gloss stick applicator. I've used this for a number of times already hence the mess. Colour is not too bright, seems just nice. I'm really bad at judging lipstick colour from the bottle or swatches. Have to definitely try them on my lips to know if they look ok on me. 

Colour looks super pretty here! It takes longer for it to dry compared to Clio Lipnicure. Which is a good thing because you can still play around with it to smooth it out. Texture is more creamy than Clio's so doesn't really crack if you just put on one layer. This is exactly the kind of colour that Jan will scream "Nicki Minaj". But Jan, NM colour suits me hahahaah.

This is what it looks like after I gave it 3 rough scrub down the middle. Doesn't really budge. Less smudge resistant than Clio since it doesn't budge even a single bit but this is resistant enough. 

I applied my most trusted Etude Magic Tint Balm again and managed to rub the whole thing off after maybe giving it more than 5 rough scrubs. This is good for when you applied it wrongly or too much when you're not at home and you don't have makeup remover with you. Micellar lotion doesn't remove this well. I tried it on my lips and only a little came off, you will need a make up remover or an oily balm. 

One light application and it looks like this on me. Which is pretty bland and nothing outstanding at all but this is already better than my naked lip colour. It looks more dulled down in this lighting I don't know why. More pink rather than orange when I see myself in the  mirror. Colour feels like the 3CE lipstick I got. Review is here. Slight nude colour which I really like but can't pull off for long either. Isn't it amazing how this looks totally different on my lips. I have so many WTF moments when I try on lipsticks. 

OK, slightly better when the lighting makes it look more orangey which is my colour hahaha. I applied a bit of balm on top to give it a little glossy look. It doesn't feel dry compared to Clio. It doesn't feel moisturised as well but I guess for something as long lasting like this, it's already considered not too bad. Few hours of drinking through straw and it still looks pretty much the same lest for the middle portion where it hits the straw, the lines are a bit more visible there but the other areas are still looking like newly applied.

I will list out the Pros and Cons mostly based on the Clip Lipnicure comparison.

Pros:Lightweight tiny packagingMatte finishingWould look fantastic for people with naturally lighter lip colour (#naturally)Longlasting Not too dryingTakes longer to dry so you can still fix it till you get the look you wantNot sticky

Cons:Very little content - but you only need one light swipe for your lips anyway so it's still acceptableYou need to be lip manicure savvy to get it to look good

Suitable for lazy people like me who doesn't like to touch up.

DIY Friendship Band Watch Strap

We are heading to Boracay mid Nov so I went to dig out my waterproof watch and of course, its a goner. Straps broke in all places when I tried to put them on. Was thinking if i should just throw it away or just the the strap fixed. 2nd option i wont be able to get it back in time for the trip thats  for sure and i couldn't find a replacement option. Might not be worth it too. 1st option, well its 100m water resistant so its really damn wasted if i just throw this away. A diy strap will have to do. 

Pick whatever colour you want but id suggest the same theme as the watch. I ended up picking 6 colours. Exactly the same process as the previous heart friendship band i made. This time i picked another pattern. Something less complicated. 

You will need:

4stringsx6coloursx50cm strings.

Meaning you need 4strings of 60cm for each colour. 2for each side. Number of colours are flexible. For my size i found that 5 colours would be more fitting for the metal bar length. 6 strings are bit too many but I can still force it in. 

Clasps for both ends. 

In my case I have this razor blade charm that I wanna use and also the usual lobster clasp. 

Pass through one end of the string and when youve halved it, tie a knot to secure it. One side should have 2 sets of colours in reverse sequence. Same colour should meet in the middle. I think this is called the chevron pattern. 

Just keep braiding till you reach your desired length. It doesnt need to be very long because of the clasps that you will later use will add on the length. 

When you have braided enough, add on your charm or simply make a loop with the strings if you want. I have always wanted to use this rustic looking blade so im including it here.  

Make sure you knot both ends firmly and i use superglue at the end to make sure they dont fray. This superglue hardens the strings. 

Cant really see the braids from the top. Ithink  my wrist is small enough.  I think this is good. The braid might seem out of place a little. 

Ok. My face with the watch hahah. I have worn this while snorkelling and swimming in Boracay and it stayed put. The replacement straps serve their purpose well. Glad I made this instead of looking for an authentic Timex strap which will probably just fall off again after a while. I'm currently interested in getting a Pebble watch because of the rude watchface but is Pebble waterproof. Guess I prob only need one waterproof watch at any given time. Pebble is not pretty though. Maybe next time when they come out with a better looking design.

Boracay here we are! Day Three!

Went out to jog again in the morning but as the days go by i noticed my jog has turned more into a stroll. So many deterrents for jogging on the beach. The mushy sand and  not much shore line to run on since water in my aquasocks will gross me out hahah #notmeanttobeajogger. 

Had local fish dish today which I very much prefer compared to the omelette. We ended up sitting at the same table every time.

We are out on a day trip today. Island hopping to Crystal Cove and Puka Beach which ends up to be my absolute favourite. We hopped on a small boat that could fit maybe around 20people. Our group has multi nationals including locals. It was rather squeezy. I would very much prefer if we have  had lesser people. They let us snorkel on i think 2 sites in between the island hopping. I went on the first round but didnt on the second. The sun was absolutely scorching like mad and of course I dont wanna get too tanned or black spots esp on my face #beachlogic or #asiantouristlogic #thenwhygotothebeach #becauseicanyoubitch wow i just rhymed my hastags hahah 

They made whoever went on the first snorkeling  trip pay a small fee. I think its 20p. They didnt charge for the second one. I heard that there were jellyfish in the water and some people got stung and they were feeling itchy all over. 

There is an entrance fee for Crystal Cove. I think its 200p. Its a huge area. There are a few vantage points for picture taking. And there is a small spiral staircase that leads down to a small cave with water from the open sea bashing onto the cave walls. It is pretty neat and there are few workers there who can take your pictures for you. They are not very nice pictures though. First its because the lighting is reversed - your back is facing the sunlight and the cave is not well illuminated. Second, well, #noskill 

hahah. Wonder why do I look so tall here - Im around Jewels height!! Gasps*

Finally had our coconut there. Ive been saying that i want to have coconut every single day esp after my "run" in the morning but couldnt find any. That was the only time we had coconut on the trip. 

After Crystal Cove we went to another island for a buffet lunch. It was ok. There was a small crowd there from all the island hopping people im guessing. 

Xiu got me this pair of Havaianas from Brazil. Loving the colours! 

Puka Beach was next. This place is awesome!! There is a portion of the beach with special sand. They are thick and coarse and i love it! Super easy to brush off your body. I can roll around in this and feel clean. Just look at that. So pretty! If you look around more they come in really pretty shapes and colours. I ended up taking pictures and videos by the shore and the other two went picture taking in the sea. I didnt even realise at first that this is what the sand looks like till i look down and boom #loveatfirstsight.

Really love this emo pic of Jewels. Very cartoony looking. Everything just matches - her dress and the sky, the green water and the faded yellow sand. #bellissima. 

 

So Amy and Jewels ended up in the shallow waters taking pictures and i just stayed nearby on the sand taking bikini selfies wahhaah. That was fun. The girls are in most of my leg shots. First time ever in the xxth year of my life that Im wearing a full bikini out in public. Am really happy that Im finally at a heck care mindstage right now to wear one. So what right, everyone with less than an ideal body is wearing one and is comfortable in their own skin. Or maybe not exactly comfortable but they dont really care anyway. I decided to be the the same. Hopefully i can keep the same mindset come next beach holiday. #fingerscrossed. 

After Puka we went back to the hotel for a shower. Puka was nearby our hotel stretch. Just around the corner from Section One. Well, not THAT near that you can walk over but it looked near as in round the bend on the boat, just 5-10mins. After shower we went out to grab our water and I ended up hoarding this chips - VCut which is so msg laden good. Dinner that night was at Andoks.  There are a few ourlets scattered along station 1&2. Its like a typical Indo chicken meal with rice which I welcome anytime - generic food. The girls ordered sisig - pigs ears?? i forgot what exactly that was. Tried it and.. Dont really like it haha. #notexperimentalenough.
